4-Day Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga
Day 1: Ouarzazate to Dades Gorges via the Valley of Roses and Skoura Palmary
Arrange pickup at 8:30 am from your Ouarzazate hotel to begin your journey of discovery through some of the most secluded and breathtaking locations in southern Morocco. Before visiting the isolated villages in the Boutghrar region, make your first stop at the ancient Kasbah in the Skoura Palm Grove. Meeting the nomads who live in caves as their main residences will likely involve stopping for a cup of tea with one of the families (it is a great idea to bring gifts to them, like clothes, tea, or sugar). Go to Dades Gorges and Valley later on to spend the first night there.
Day 2: Dades Gorges to N’Koub village via Tizi N’tazazzert
Join your local guide for a stroll through Dades Valley after breakfast, and then head over to the Anti-Atlas Mountains to drive past the Saghro rock formations. The breathtaking scenery as you make your way to the charming little village of N’Koub will astound you. Dinner and a night will be at a hotel guesthouse.
Day 3: N’Koub to Erg Chebbi via Foum M’harch, Ramlia, Ouzina and Taous
You will resume your adventurous journey to the Merzouga desert after breakfast, passing through a few isolated Saharan villages. Savor cups of tea, endless photo opportunities, and the peace and solitude of the surroundings.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi to Ouarzazate via Todra Gorges
Get up early to see the sunrise over the dunes. Eat breakfast, then ride back on the camels or take a car transfer to the edge of the dune line to meet your driver and travel west to Ouarzazate. While traveling to the Todra Gorges, you will stop and take walks through the canyons or the palm grove. We will visit the famous UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before we end our desert adventure tour in Ouarzazate.
