Overview

We have in this program 6 days tour from Rabat, which will lead us to discover the most important places in Morocco such as Imperial Cities, the Merzouga desert, and Marrakech. Our tour will start from Rabat toward Fes via Meknes and Volubilis. Next, we will cross the Middle Atlas to discover the Sahara. Itinerary: 6 Days Tour from Rabat

Day 1: RABAT

The pickup and transportation from the airport to your lodging in Rabat marks the beginning of the 6 days tour from Rabat. After you have settled in, we will take you to see the Royal Palace, which is a large parade ground located at the end of the Mechouar. The official residence of the King of Morocco is this palace, which dates back to 1864. There will also be visits to the Mohamed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, Challah Gardens, and the fortified Oudaya Kasbah. We will have dinner at your hotel in Rabat. DAY 2: RABAT / MEKNES / VOLUBILIS / FEZ

We will leave Rabat for Fes after breakfast in your hotel. You will travel to Meknes, one of the four Imperial cities, before reaching Volubilis. There, you will see the Old Medina, the Sultan Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the well-known Lhdim Square. Volubilis: En route, we will make a stop to explore the Roman ruins at Volubilis. Up until an earthquake in the middle of the eighteenth century, the remnants were largely unharmed. Then we will be on our way to Fez. DAY 3: FEZ / IFRANE / CEDAR FOREST / ERFOUD / MERZOUGA

Leaving Fes early in the morning, your journey continues after breakfast at your lodging. After leaving Fez, we will take a detour to visit Ifrane, also known as Morocco’s Little Switzerland, and spend some time exploring this intriguing city. This exquisitely manicured cedar forest is home to the critically endangered Barbary Apes, which are monkeys, as soon as you get there. This will be a fantastic chance to take pictures of the wild monkeys in the Azrou Cedar Woods, Morocco’s forests, and the cedar forest. You will have lunch in a classic Midelt restaurant—the city of apples and minerals. We proceed with our six-day tour from Rabat to Ziz Valley, where we will pause to take panoramic portraits. After that, you will visit Erfoud to view the fossil workers and the historic date market. Merzouga: When you get to Merzouga, you will be shown to your hotel for your meal and lodging. Accommodation/Riad choice: Riad Azawad / or Analogous Dinners: Breakfast and Dinner

DAY 4: MERZOUGA / KHAMLIA / RISSANI / ERG CHEBBI

You will be taken on a tour of Erg Chebbi following breakfast. You will visit a Berber home and hear Gnawa music, which originated in West Africa, in Khamlia, a tiny community in the desert close to the largest dunes in Erg Chebbi. Then you will head to the small oasis town of Rissani, which lies close to the northwest edge of the Sahara. This is also the capital of Tafilalet. The souk, or market, of Rissani is well-known. You will visit the renowned Rissani Market, which offers crafts, jewelry, gifts, souvenirs, spices, and artwork. Your lunch in Rissani will be a typical Moroccan pizza known as “Medfouna.” After that, you will return to Merzouga’s accommodation and prepare for the next day. In Rissani, you will have “Medfouna,” a traditional Moroccan pizza, for lunch. Subsequently, head back to Merzouga and get ready for your journey to Erg Chebbi. From there, ride a camel back to the desert camp to spend an additional night under the stars. Option for hotel or Riad: Merzouga Dunes Luxurious Camps or Similar Dishes: Breakfast and Dinner

DAY 5: MERZOUGA / ERFOUD / TODGHA GORGES / OUARZAZATE

From Rabat, we continue our six-day tour. We will break camp and ride our camels out of the desert in the morning, returning to our starting point after breakfast at sunrise. You will then head back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower after that. Gather your luggage before setting out to return to Ouarzazate. After touring the Jarf irrigation canal, we will drive on to the Todra Gorges, where we will pause to take in views of Morocco’s tallest gorges. Next, we will head to a women’s cooperative located in the Valley of Roses, where you can get a bio and a range of rose-related products. It will be when you arrive in Ouarzazate. You will dine and stay in an Ouarzazate hotel. Option for hotel/Riad: Riad Bochdor / or Breakfast and Dinner Are Similar Meals

DAY 6: DADES GORGES / OUARZAZETE / AÏT BENHADDOU / MARRAKECH

We will visit Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas & CLA Studios, which are referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa” and have produced several movies, including Lawrence of Arabia and Sahara, after your morning meal. Then we cross the 2260-meter-high Tizi N’Ticheka pass on our way to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Visit the World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. The amazing fortified settlement is known as Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. We will make a stop at Taddart for lunch at a panoramic restaurant in a Berber village once our journey is complete. Once you have completed your meal, you will continue on your journey to Marrakech. This completes your 6 days tour from Rabat when you are dropped off at your hotel upon arrival in Marrakech.
