Itinerary: 5 Days Tour from Marrakech
Day 1 Marrakech – Zagora
On the first day of your 5 Days Tour from Marrakech, you will drive via the high atlas, port T’ichka crosses 2260 meters. Discover the ancient kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou, where they filmed the Peliculas as Obelix, Gladiator, and Babel, …. Lunch at the heart of the Kasbah Tamnougalt, then follow the path south on Atlas mountains, cross the magnificent valley of the Draa. Arrived in Zagora, dinner, and overnight in a charming hotel.
Day 2 Zagora – M’Hamid
After breakfast, departure in 4×4 to M’Hamid, Tamgroute pause to visit the Kasbah underground, the Koranic library, and the art of the oldest pottery in the south. Then follow the path until M’hamid, here begins the track towards Chagaga dunes, afterward, afternoon departure for 1h camel to reach the bivouac of Erg Lihoudi, dinner, and overnight in traditional tents.
Day 3 M’Hamid – Erg Chegaga
Back in the morning camel to M’Hamid, visit the village and its Kasbah, and lunch in a lovely restaurant in the heart of the palm. In the afternoon, departure in 4 × 4 to discover the Chegaga dunes, the desert sea (300 m altitude) 60 km trail, arriving to see the sunset and then dinner and overnight in a tent nomad.
Day 4 Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, morning departure in 4× 4 from Chagaga to Foum Zguid crossing 90 km more in the desert and enjoying the different landscapes (Lake Iriqui, mountains, fossils), lunch at Foum Zguid first village after the desert. Arrived late afternoon in Ouarzazate, dinner, and overnight in a typical hotel.
Day 5 Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
Morning departure after breakfast to visit the Kasbah Tifoultoute (located 15 km from Ouarzazate) and movie studios. Then, continuing to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou through the track where you can see different landscapes (desert rocks, desert plates that were used for filming westerns). Lunch on the road and return to Marrakesh in the afternoon. End of your 5 Days Tour from Marrakech.
