Itinerary: 6-Day Tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes 

Hotel pickup is the first step in our exclusive 4-day Tangier tour to Marrakech via Merzouga. On the first day, we head directly for Chefchaouen, the “blue city” or “the blue pearl of the north.”

You will undoubtedly be awestruck by the extravagant beauty and charm of its winding streets, which are adorned with red roses and greenery. Additionally, we’re going to take a stroll alongside this lovely town’s dignified running river and sip mint tea in the grand plaza known as “Plaza Uta el Hamam.” We will travel to Fes after lunch so that we can rest and get ready for the journey to the Sahara.

Day 2: Fes – Azrou – Merzouga 

After a hearty and nutritious breakfast today, we will travel through the High and Middle Atlas mountains, which offer such a captivating view of the surrounding landscape, to reach our favorite spot—the Merzouga Sahara desert.

Next, we travel to Ifrane, which is referred to as “Morocco’s Little Switzerland.” After driving through Azrou and the Ziz Valley, we will visit Midelt and then Erfoud to see the fossils.

We transport you to Merzouga, where we take a well-liked camel ride through the Sahara desert. After dinner and some Berber music, we will spend the night in a desert camp beneath the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate  

As we continue our tour of the Tangier desert, we perch atop a dune to watch the magnificent sunrise over Merzouga. After that, we start our camel ride to Merzouga village, from where we drive to Rissani and visit Tafilalet, the ancestral home of the Alaouite dynasty of Morocco. We will visit the Dades Valley and travel to the Todgha Gorge, where we will stop to witness the impressive gorges and take pictures. Then, we continue to Ouarzazate through Dades Valley and the thousands of Kasbahs Road. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, we will explore the filming studios where famous movies and series were shot such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. Spend the night at a hotel or Riad in Ouarzazate. 

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Wake up in the morning to have your breakfast before driving to one of the top attractions in Morocco ‘Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.’ We will explore this iconic UNESCO World Heritage and enjoy its Amazigh architecture. Continuing to Marrakech via the well-known pass Tizi n’Tichka (2212 m above sea). Upon arrival in Marrakech, your driver will take you to the Koutoubia Mosque to witness the beautiful architecture of the Moorish design. Then, you head to the well-known Menara Garden and stroll around the narrow alleys of the old medina enjoying its beautiful traditional craft shops. Launch at one of the restaurants overlooking the Jamaa El-Fna square. Continue your stroll around Jamaa el-Fna, it is the heart of the city, you can attend different local shows including Snake Charming, dancers, women making Henna, Gnawa music, etc. Check in at your riad or hotel to spend the night.

Day 5: Marrakech day trip

Today is dedicated to exploring Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most stunning cities, which was established at the end of the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty. Travelers worldwide are drawn to it because of its history, souks’ distinctive harmony, local culture, colors, and smells, as well as the weather and the famous Jamaa El Fena Square. 

Our knowledgeable local guide takes you to see the city’s most noteworthy attractions. Saadian Tombs, the minaret-adorned Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, the Souks, and Djemaa el Fna Square are all included in the guided tour of Marrakech.  

Afterward, before dropping you off at your riad or hotel, our driver will take you to see the stunning Majorelle Garden and tour the New section of the city. 

Day 6: Marrakech Airport 

Today is your last day in Morocco. Our driver will transfer you to the airport after your breakfast. End of our services and the end of your tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
