Itinerary: Morocco Tour from Tangier

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

The Tangier port will be the location of the reception. The route will first take you through the Rif before arriving in the stunning city of Chefchaouen, whose name means “horn” in Berber, nestled beneath the Rif’s mountains. See the blue-hued hills with white houses built upon them.
Spend the night in a hotel or on a raid.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Once breakfast is finished, depart for Fes. You will travel through the Roman ruins of Volubilis before arriving in the contemporary imperial city of Meknes to see the old Medina, which is encircled by a substantial wall.
Once the day is over, make your way directly to your Fes lodging, where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Guided Tour of Fes

The entire day is devoted to touring Fes, the oldest Moroccan imperial city that was established in the eighth century by Moulay Idriss II.
The UNESCO-designated Old Medina will be visited first on this guided tour, and visitors can stroll through its winding streets, which are dotted with independent stores and marketplaces. The Bonania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Najjarine Fountain, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and Al-Qarawyine University—the oldest continuously running university in the world—are just a few of the historical and cultural sites to be explored in the old Medina.
You will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Fes Medina after lunch at a neighborhood restaurant. Thereafter, you will have a quick tour of the recently constructed “Fez Al-Jaded” area. In the evening, check into a hotel or Riad.

Day 4: Fes – Azrou – Merzouga

Early in the morning, you leave the mildest of Fes and travel through the middle Atlas Mountains, passing through cedar forests that are well-known worldwide. Woodworkers highly value cedar because it serves a variety of purposes.
We will drive on to Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland, and Azrou, a typical middle Atlas Berber village in the Zayyan region. Once the Ziz Valley and the city of Erfoud are passed, the drive ends in the desert. Typically, a rocky road leads to Merzouga. Recuperate well for the long next day by spending the night in a hotel.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

The black-skinned people of the “Khamlia” village, where you will sip mint tea and take in their Gnawa music, will be the first group you encounter throughout the day. The most significant oasis in the southeast Moroccan desert, where fortified villages are encircled by palm groves, is the city of Rissani (Tafilalet), which you will visit after visiting the desert lake. Return to the hotel by car late in the afternoon.
The evening includes a camel ride at dusk, Berber music, and spending the night in a Berber tent amidst the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will enjoy an exciting and enjoyable evening.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Get up early to see the magnificent dawn and camel rides. Go back to the hotel and have breakfast and a shower before leaving. Next, make your way to Todra Gorges, passing through some Berber villages. The journey to Dades Valley will continue after lunch in that imposing mountainous area.
By dusk, you will arrive at a raid, or Kasbah.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate

Along the route to Ouarzazate, a sequence of fields and palm groves provide scenic vistas, including the old Kasbah of Skoura and the rose valley of Kelaat M’Gouna. The oases are beautifully surrounded by nature and contain hundreds of Kasbah ruins in all shapes and sizes. You will spend the night in a raid once you arrive in Ouarzazate.

Day 8: Ait Ben-Haddou – Marrakech – Essaouira

Proceed in the direction of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified Kasbah that was constructed hundreds of years ago and exemplifies the great Berber earthen architecture, from Ouarzazate. It is the location of numerous film shoots. Gaze upon the vista of caravan routes and the distant summits of the High Atlas Mountain range that lies ahead of you. Savor the remnants of the Kasbah, which still exemplify the old Berber culture.
After stopping for sweeping views at Ticheka Pass (2,260 m.a.s.l.), you will continue driving through the high Atlas Mountains to Marrakech for lunch before continuing to Essaouira, where you will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 9: Essaouira – Marrakech

This quick visit will concentrate on Essaouira’s historic quarter. While exploring the intriguing corners, a local guide is available to accompany you. The beach’s delightful fresh air is something you should not miss. In the afternoon, make your way back to your Marrakech hotel or raid.

Day 10: Tour of Marrakech

A guided tour takes place throughout the entire day, covering the Bahia and Badi Palaces, Saadian Tombs, Menara Basin, and numerous other undiscovered gems.
The stunning Koutoubia Mosque and the Square Jemaa el-Fna come to life at night in the city’s charming center, which is the next stop after having lunch at one of the best restaurants in the area.

Day 11: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah

In the morning, make your way to Casablanca to see the Hassan II Mosque and other attractions. After that, take a coastal road through Rabat to Asilah, where you can spend a peaceful night in a hotel.

Day 12: Asilah – Tangier

You can unwind at this final location. The city of Asilah has many breathtaking sights that are undoubtedly worth seeing. The trip ends in Tangier, with the hopes that you return home feeling content and having had an amazing time.
