On these 2 days, our desert tour from Ouarzazate will take us to visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Then, we will continue to Zagora Desert, there are so many places to explore while we are on the road to the Sahara, and there are others when we come back to Ouarzazate.

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – M’hamid (Erg Lihoudi) or Erg Chegaga
At eight in the morning, you will be picked up from your Ouarzazate hotel, and driven through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the striking Draa palm groves on your way to the desert. Before continuing along the Draa Valley to Zagora for a quick lunch break, it is worthwhile to take a walking tour of Tamnougalte’s Kasbah and village. You will then make a stop at Tamgroute, a pottery village with an old library renowned for its manuscript collection. Next, travel through Tagounite and deep into the desert to reach M’hamid for a camel ride at dusk and an overnight stay in a tent. If you would like, you can continue to the Erg Chegaga desert. Choose our 3-day desert tour from Ouarzazate to Erg Chegaga if you would prefer a more leisurely trip to Erg Chegaga. You will get to spend more time at the sites and complete a loop by driving past Iriqui Lake.
Day 2: M’hamid or Erg Chegaga – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, get up early to see the sunrise over the dunes. After that, return to Ouarzazate via Agdez and the Draa Valley. If you arrived at the dunes early and chose to explore at your own pace today, you can arrange stops for today in case you missed any on the first day. On the way back, you might want to stop by Amzerou, the historic Jewish neighborhood in Zagora. Later, you arrive in Ouarzazate, if you have more time, we will head to visit the famous UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before we end our desert tour from Ouarzazate.
