Itinerary: 3 Days Desert Tour from Agadir

DAY 1: Agadir – Taliouine – Agdez – Zagora

Leave Agadir early in the morning and travel southeast. Traveling through Taliouine, stopping to visit a Saffron cooperative before moving on to Agdez, where we will have lunch. We will travel to Tamnougalte, the oldest Kasbah in the Southeast, after lunch. After that, travel 151 km in the direction of Zagora via the largest palm grove in the Draa Valley. Spend the night in a gorgeous Riad or hotel in Zagora.

DAY 2: Zagora – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga

Proceed to visit the Koranic library after breakfast, and then drive on to M’hamid for our lunch stop. Make your way to the dunes after lunch. (Chegaga) is Morocco’s tallest dune, spanning 300 meters and more than 40 kilometers. We will see the sunset over the brown dunes while savoring a traditional meal accompanied by music from the Sahara. Spending the night will be in the customary nomadic tent.

DAY 3: Erg Chegaga – Taznakht – Taroudante – Agadir

After eating breakfast in the middle of the desert, travel towards Foum Zguid via the abandoned Paris-Dakar route and the Iriqui dry lake. Stop for lunch at Taznakht before continuing to Agadir. Arriving will be in the late afternoon. Contact us to book your trip or for further details.
